This July, everything is about fashion in France. Following the kick-off of Paris Fashion Week, high-end jewelry maker Chopard unveiled this year’s Red Carpet Collection at the opening of the Cannes Festival on July 6. Chopard’s co-president and artistic director Caroline Scheufele made a special appearance to introduce this beautiful collection, themed “Paradise,” to the world.
The Red Carpet Collection not only shows the Maison’s lifelong passion for cinemas but also pays tribute to the actresses who embody the radiant energy walking down the velvety carpet. The 2021 collection takes us into a universe dear to the Maison: that of unspoilt, dreamlike and fertile place like the Garden of Eden. It’s a paradise to be found within oneself, according to one’s imagination and desires.
In Chopard’s paradise we find “water” earrings created with Paraiba tourmaline and diamonds; an exotic “floral” choker necklace made of rubies and pink sapphires; an “elephant” brooch and “dog” necklace showcasing a variety of precious colourful stones; and “fire” earrings composed of a range of yellow to orange sapphires. Each piece is so unique and bold and vibrant.
The 74 masterpieces made of ethical Fairmined-certified gold and stones are the perfect interpretation of creativity and love of life. Just like the movies, this is a place where it allows people to imagine, to fantasize and to share their dreams. —Louisa Chan
