TBH, we’ve had to return more than one pair of shoes bought online during lockdown—it’s really hard to gauge size, style and comfort virtually. Fortunately, a pop-up coming to Vancouver this weekend promises to solve all our footwear woes.
From August 19 to 22, sustainable furniture fave Sundays is teaming up with powerhouse accessories brand Poppy Barley to put the fun back in shopping with a concierge retail experience! Forget awkward benches and truncated mirrors for shoe shopping; Vancouverites (that means you!) are welcome to explore a curated selection of Poppy Barley’s bestsellers and newest must-haves while lounging on Sundays’ relaxed, West Coast-aesthetic furniture. The new pop-up concept reintroduces what we’ve been missing from our surge in online shopping orders since the COVID-19 pandemic hit: feeling fabrics, trying fashions on to find the perfect fit, and friendly in-person service.
This weekend pop-up shop will be chock-full full of shoes and ankle boots for you to try on in sizes 5-12; associates will also be on hand to measure you for tall boots handcrafted to fit your calf and foot size perfectly. Once you’ve found your perfect footwear match, Poppy Barley will ship the shoes directly to you from their warehouse! You’ll also have a chance to discover Poppy Barley’s newest handbags, small leather goods and backpacks, including its new collection of bags made from cactus leather, which is poised to challenge the global fashion industry standard of traditional “vegan leathers” made from oil-derived toxic plastics.
Walk-ins are welcome and appointments are available here. Trust us, you’ll want to run, not walk to this one-weekend-only shoe-shopping extravaganza! —Vita Daily
