Holiday Hot Toddy
As the temperature starts to drop, a hot cocktail is always appreciated. This variation on the classic toddy pairs the fruity profile of Singleton with the richness of spiced pear liqueur, the bitterness of black tea, and the warm combination of cinnamon and lemon juice to create a brilliant effect.
30ml Singleton of Dufftown 12 Year
15ml Spiced Pear Liqueur
60ml Hot Black Tea
15ml Cinnamon Syrup
15ml Fresh Lemon Juice
Warm a teacup with boiling water. Empty the hot water and then, in the warmed teacup, combine all ingredients and stir to combine. Garnish with a stick of cinnamon.
Sometimes, simple is best. The refreshing shandy gets a bit of a facelift with the addition of fresh lemon, ginger and clove notes of velvet falernum, and the richness of Singleton whisky. A crisp top of lager and a little nutmeg bring together this light, refreshing cocktail.
45ml Singleton of Dufftown 12 Year
15ml Velvet Falernum
7.5ml fresh lemon juice
Shake all ingredients briefly with ice and fine strain into an ice-filled Collins glass. Top with 60ml of lager and garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
