Hi Enrico! Please tell us a bit about yourself to start.
I’m originally from Milan but I currently live in Tahoe with my husband and our two Frenchies, Coppa and Speck (we are an Italian household so we obviously had to name our boys after Italian meats). Outside of skincare, I’m very interested in Formula One racing—in fact, I used to want to be a race car driver as a kid! I changed directions once I got older and moved to the U.S. for school and career opportunities. I ended up working in cybersecurity for a while before launching Peace Out.
When and why did you launch Peace Out?
I was struggling to find an effective treatment for my acne. In my search, I had experimented with hydrocolloid and found it was the only thing that helped reduce inflammation. Thus, the Acne Healing Dots were born, and Peace Out was officially launched in 2017.
What niche were/are you aiming to fill with the brand?
Peace Out was not only created from my own search for effective acne treatment, but also from a need for a skin-positive community where the effects of acne on mental health are a part of the discussion. Because of this, I continue to ensure Peace Out offers effective products and facilitates meaningful conversations in that way.
What products do you offer, and what makes them so unique?
Peace Out is first and foremost an acne brand, but it has recently expanded into the anti-aging category. We hope to eventually become a “generational skincare” brand where mothers and daughters are shopping our products together—where brothers and sisters, grandmothers and grandchildren are all loving our products.
Tell us more about the “hydrocolloid dressing” that basically started it all?
What makes the Acne Healing Dots unique is the acne-fighting and healing ingredients within the hydrocolloid. We are the first brand to blend hydrocolloid and active acne fighting and healing ingredients to create the first-ever true “Acne” Dot that is OTC and FDA approved. No other skincare brand can say that!
How does “fun” figure into Peace Out’s skin-care philosophy?
Fun is extremely important to our brand! Acne is typically a serious, sometimes doctor-driven matter—medical and judgy. A lot of acne brands can make you feel ashamed about having acne. In contrast, I wanted Peace Out to promote skin-positivity and overall positive self-identity. I wanted Peace Out to be the brand that says, “Yeah I have acne, and I am having the time of my life in my skin—because all skin is beautiful!”
What would you say some of your best-selling items are, and why?

Congrats on the launch of the new Retinol Face Stick! What is this product, what are its benefits and who is it for?
Thank you! I’m obsessed with retinol and the idea of applying skincare with a stick. I’m already working on some additional Peace Out products that can be applied in this way. The Retinol Face Stick features our stabilized, encapsulated retinol blend which has more effective anti-aging properties than other retinol products. It can be used by anyone who is beginning or well-into their anti-aging skincare journey.
Your top, pro tips on how to use the Retinol Face Stick?
I use the Retinol Face Stick twice a week at night, after I have done my entire skincare routine, to lock in all the awesomeness from other products. It’s also important to remember to always use SPF in the daytime when using retinol. It’s an absolute must.
What’s next for Peace Out?
Our team is growing so fast, which is exciting! We just launched on Amazon and we are moving into distribution in Asia! We have also started the process of expanding our business with funding and I have a kick-ass product pipeline that I know our users will love!
