Add These 2 It Colours To Your Summer Style

May 27, 2022

While vivid hues become trendy every spring and summer season, there are always a few colours that become the “it” colour. This year, it’s Kelly Green and Bubblegum Pink. Whether you’re browsing retail clothing stores or the beauty aisle, vibrant pops of green and pink are everywhere. Below are some of our choice picks in this season’s two must-have colours. —Vicki Duong

colorpop shadow palette. Whether you’re looking for a bold chartreuse eye look or just a pop of green sparkle, the In The Limelight eyeshadow palette ($18) from Colourpop will quickly become a staple in your vanity. The cruelty-free and vegan palette features a mix of metallics, mattes and glitters plus a few neutral shades for added versatility.

aldo shoes shoulder bag. As we become re-accustomed to socialising more often, our minds turn to showing up in style. Aldo Shoes makes it easy to make a statement with their Trezor handbag ($65), a structured shoulder bag featuring both a chain and chunky strap in a compact size, ideal for carrying your essentials.

kara yoo collar. Consider this an elevated version of the classic beaded necklace, the Yona Collar ($186) designed by Kara Yoo features fluorite beads that adds a rich hue to your ensemble while a sterling silver toggle makes for easy everyday wear and layering.

gelcare kelly green gel polish. Ideal for anyone who tends to shy away from bold hues, a vibrant manicure is a more approachable way to incorporate this season’s must-have colour to your ensemble. Gel Care consistently makes our fave gel polishes and their Spring/Summer collection features Kelly Green ($24), their hero shade.

wray cardigan. Showcase your fashion instincts with this soft cotton rib cardi ($205) from NYC’s Wray. Available in an impressive size range (XXS to 6XL), this pima cotton cardigan is made ethically in Peru and designed to add both style and comfort to your wardrobe while keeping your ‘fit on trend.

vitruvi diffuser. We are big fans of the Vitruvi rebrand. Not only does the new look feel more luxe, but it came with some new colourways, including their Move Essential Oil Diffuser ($182) in Candy. The Move Diffuser is ideal for any home since it features a cordless design making it suitable for any room of your home with a sleek charging pad in a bubblegum hue.

smash & tess coveralls. With over two million followers on IG, there’s no surprise as to why Smash + Tess have partnered with Sarah Landry (@thebirdspapaya) to modernize the power suit with the Kimi Coverall ($145) available in classic black and Sarah’s signature hue, Papaya Pink. We’re loving the hint of stretch with a cinched waist paired with a front zipper for added visual appeal.

flax home bath sheet. Add a pop of pink to your washroom with these lightweight waffle linen bath sheets ($88) in Blush from Flax Home. Because linen is naturally antimicrobial, it dries faster than terry without an unpleasant odour while its larger than typical size provides a luxe spa experience at home.

poppy barley. Live your Elle Woods fantasy with these heeled mules ($275) designed by Poppy Barley, a sustainable and ethically minded footwear brand. The moderate heel makes it ideal for the office or a night out on the town, while a memory foam sole keeps every stride cushy. Whether worn with dresses or jeans, these mules make the perfect addition to any ensemble.

essence lip gloss. It’s official. Lip gloss is back in a big way, but that doesn’t mean you have to break the bank to get juicy plump lips. We’ve been heading to the drugstore to stock up on Essence’s Extreme Shine Volume Lipgloss ($5), a budget-friendly option for a natural sheen with a wash of colour. Our fave shade? Summer Punch, the perfect cool-toned pink that looks great on its own or layered over lipsticks.
