5 Ways To Celebrate National Rosé Day On June 11

June 9, 2022

Has #RoséAllDay become passé? Nope, not by a long shot—as far as we’re concerned. We adore it and always will. Every year, on the second Saturday in June, we celebrate our favourite pink drink as the perfect way to bring in summer. Here’s five you should try. —Catherine Dunwoody

Blasted Church Blaufränkisch Rosé: Not a wimpy rosé, but instead this medium-bodied B.C. beauty holds its own with foods like roast chicken and poached salmon. A pink with notes of strawberries, pink grapefruit and cranberry.

Belle Année Rosé by Mirabeau: From Provence, this dry rosé is sold in super-cute cans. Keep a few chilled in the wine fridge and ready to tuck them into your summer picnic basket any ol’ time.

Monte Creek Ancient Waters Rosé: This Kamloops winery offers three different rosé wines, but this one in particular is our favourite, done in Saignee style using 100 per cent Cabernet Franc.

Bottega Pinot Nero Spumante Brut Rosé: This sparkling favourite from Italy is always a hit, with its dazzling metallic rose gold bottle. Frothy, off-dry, nice with ceviche or summer fruit.

Adobe Emiliana Rosé: This organic wine from Chile has a lovely blush-pink colour and even lovelier label, and this easy-sipper pairs well with sushi or a creamy cheese platter.
